We are pleased to announce that X42 Monitoring products are now stocked and sold by Tankworld, one of Australia's largest poly water tank and diesel tank manufacturers.

You can now order a 23,650L rainwater tank, a Tankworld pump and an X42 Tank monitoring kit as a single bundled purchase — delivered together, sized correctly, and ready to install as one system.

Does the X42 Tank monitor need WiFi, mobile coverage or a subscription?
No to all three. The X42 Tank uses long-range LoRa radio between the Sensor Node at your tank and the Homebase display inside your house, with a range of up to one kilometre. It needs no WiFi, no internet, no mobile coverage, no smartphone app and no subscription fee of any kind. Your data never leaves your property.
Does X42 make a monitor for diesel tanks?
Yes. The X42 Diesel Level Monitoring Kit uses the same standalone, subscription-free technology as the tank monitor but is built for diesel fuel tanks. It is stocked at Tankworld and can be bundled with Tankworld's 5,000L and 10,000L diesel tank and bowser packages.
How many tanks can one X42 Homebase monitor?
Up to four. The Starter Kit includes one Sensor Node and one Homebase display. Add extra X42 Tank Sensor Nodes to monitor additional tanks, and all readings appear on the same Homebase unit.

No. The X42 Tank is designed as a DIY installation requiring no tools, no wiring and no trade qualifications. The Sensor Node mounts to your tank and pairs to the Homebase with a single button press. Both units run on standard AA batteries.
How often does the X42 Tank take a reading?
Every 60 minutes, which is 24 readings per day, every day. This is significantly more frequent than most satellite and cellular tank monitors, which typically report only two to four times per day. More frequent readings mean leaks, burst pipes and taps left running are detected within the hour rather than the following day.
