What a weekend. X42 Monitoring has just returned from the 2026 Irrigear® National Conference on the Gold Coast — and we couldn't be prouder of how it went. As the proud sponsor of Saturday morning's breakfast, we had the privilege of presenting the X42 Tank Monitor to a room full of Australia's leading water specialists, sharing meals and conversations with store owners from every corner of the country, and taking our very first orders through the Irrigear network. Here's how it unfolded.
The Event

The Irrigear National Conference is the highlight of the year for the Irrigear family - a gathering of the independently owned member stores and suppliers that make up Australia's largest network of pumping, irrigation, filtration, and water management experts. This year it came to the Gold Coast, bringing together store owners and their teams from across every state and territory.
For X42 Monitoring, it was the perfect stage. These are exactly the people rural Australians turn to when they have a serious water problem to solve, the local experts behind the counter who know their regions, their customers, and their conditions inside out. Getting to spend a weekend among them, talking tanks, water security, and monitoring, was everything we hoped it would be.
Since 1987, Irrigear has grown from humble beginnings into a member-owned co-operative built on relationships, trust, and a shared commitment to keeping stores locally owned while backed by the strength of a national group. Being welcomed into that community as we launch through their network meant a great deal to our team.

On Saturday morning, X42 Monitoring had the honour of sponsoring the conference breakfast, and with it, the chance to present the X42 Tank Monitor to the assembled Irrigear stores.
Standing in front of that room was a genuine milestone for us. We got to tell the X42 story the way we always want to: simply and honestly. A purpose-built tank monitor, designed and made in Queensland, that gives rural Australians accurate water levels direct to their home - no internet, no cloud platform, no subscription. Just reliable answers to the one question every tank owner asks: how much water do I have left?

The best part of any conference isn't the presentation, it's what happens afterward. Over the course of the weekend, our team sat down with store owners from across Australia and had the kind of conversations you simply can't have over email.
We heard about the water challenges in their regions. We heard the stories every water specialist knows too well, the customers who ran a tank dry, the emergency water carts called in during the worst of a dry spell. And again and again, we heard the same thing: rural customers want a simple, honest way to know how much water they have, without another subscription or another app that stops working when the signal drops.
That's exactly why we built X42 Tank. Hearing it echoed back to us by the people who serve rural Australia every day confirmed we're solving a problem that genuinely matters.
Those conversations turned into something concrete, too. We're thrilled to say we took our first orders through the Irrigear network on the day and during the week, the beginning of getting the X42 Tank Monitor onto shelves and onto tanks right across the country.
What It Means

Every store we spoke to represents a community. A region. Hundreds of rural properties whose owners have, until now, mostly managed their most critical resource by guesswork — tapping the side of a tank and hoping for the best.

That's the whole reason X42 Monitoring exists: to make water visible. This weekend on the Gold Coast, that mission took a big step forward.
